Spark WHS - Golf Handicap Management System

The Problem Golfers know that calculating a handicap score isn’t as simple as it seems. With multiple courses, varying difficulty levels, and frequent game adjustments, traditional methods often result in inaccurate and inconsistent scores. Our client needed a fast, automated, and precise way to calculate golf handicaps seamlessly. Enter SPARK WHS. Our Approach We set out to build a system that ensures accurate, real-time handicap calculations using Apache Spark for fast data processing. The core features included: - Automated Handicap Calculation – Based on official golf handicap rules and course ratings. - Real-Time Score Tracking – Syncing with golf clubs and player records. - Course Difficulty Adjustments – Factoring in different golf courses and slope ratings. - User-Friendly Interface – Allowing players to track their progress effortlessly.
